As the 2024 season draws nearer, teams are gearing up for a new year. In the world of professional cycling, this often entails securing new sponsors. Alongside new sponsors come fresh colours, and, fortunately for us cycling enthusiasts, new and thrilling cycling kit designs.
We will now highlight some of the hottest and most exciting jerseys to watch out for in the 2024 pro peloton. Our list encompasses a mix of Women’s Continental, World Tour, and Men’s World Tour Teams.
An excellent opportunity to catch a glimpse of these stunning women’s cycling jerseys would be at the Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift 2024. For further details about the upcoming edition of the race, read on here.
UAE Team Emirates
A discreet modification from UAE Team Emirates for the upcoming year includes all-white Met helmets. Additionally, the team has incorporated a pattern featuring the UAE flag at the bottom of their jersey.
Having achieved 57 wins in 2023, it will be intriguing to see how many wins this new design will take in 2024. The team, bolstered by notable transfers like Nils Politt and Pavel Sivakov, along with several other prominent figures, is expected to be highly present at the forefront of all races. So, you’ll definitely spot the jersey as soon as racing begins.
Bahrain – Victorious
Similar to UAE Team Emirates, Bahrain – Victorious has opted for a white theme, departing from the red-coloured jersey worn in 2023. The team has embraced a design reminiscent of their appearance at the 2023 Tour de France. Correspondingly, their Merida bikes have transitioned to a crystal white, also mirroring the bikes employed during the Tour.
CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team
The recently promoted Women’s WorldTour team is maintaining its distinctive red and blue theme. Only one new transfer into the team for 2024, we look forward to watching them race. Exciting prospect Cédrine Kerbaol is one to keep an eye on as well as sprinter and puncheur Marta Lach.
Team Jayco AlUla and Liv AlUla Jayco
The Australian team has revamped their look for 2024, ditching the all-blue kit in favor of a colourful ensemble. The standout addition is a striking orange at the bottom of the jersey, accompanied by a redesigned multi-coloured Giant TCR bike.
The women’s WorldTour team has also adopted a new theme, aligning closely with the men’s design. Additionally, they’ve introduced a women’s continental development team with eight riders aged 18 to 25, emphasizing their commitment to nurturing young talent in the sport.
Team SD Worx
Sticking with roughly the same design, Team SD Worx has focused on changing the colour scheme, darkening the pink to a purple. Will this affect their ability to stick out from the peloton? Well, with 62 wins in 2023, I’m sure we will see them winning more races in 2024!
Team Visma | Lease a Bike
A significant shift in sponsorship has occurred for what was previously known as Team Jumbo-Visma. Following the withdrawal of the Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo, the team found themselves compelled to urgently seek a replacement sponsor.
Fortunately, Lease a Bike has stepped forward to fill the void, having already been a sponsor in 2023, as evident from the presence of its logo on the 2023 jersey.
Importantly, all three cycling teams—the men’s World Tour, the women’s World Tour, and the men’s Continental—will maintain a consistent and distinctive colour scheme, featuring yellow and black. Another notable alteration involves the helmet sponsor; after a seven-year partnership, Lazer will be replaced by Giro.
Arkéa – B&B Hotels
Unveiling their new Excalibur-themed jersey, Arkéa – B&B Hotels has chosen to maintain the consistent red colour for the fourth consecutive year. Hailing from Brittany, France, the team has prominently featured the logo of their latest title sponsor, B&B Hotels.
Both the World Tour team and the newly established Continental development team have retained Ekoi as their clothing sponsor. Notably, the women’s Continental team has made a switch to the Breton clothing brand, Speed LM.
INEOS Grenadiers
A big change of sponsors for the INEOS Grenadiers, moving away from Bioracer to UAE Team Emirates 2022 sponsor, GOBIK. But will this influence their performance? Bioracer is know for its fast TT skin suit used by Ganna in his hour record as well as Remco Evenepoel during the 2023 World TT Championships, which he won.
If you’re interested in time trailing, read about Max Cushway, a up and coming British time trialist who’s currently racing for a top division French amateur team in Brittany.
Movistar Team
Movistar’s 2024 jersey won’t be changing much from 2023. You can expect to see both the men’s and women’s team wearing the GOBIK kit. Are you excited to see Nairo Quintana racing again? To find out more check out our article on Nairo Quintanas controversial return to movistar.
A notable addition to the women’s team is Olivia Baril. The Canadian cyclist previously rode for UAE Team ADQ in 2023 and is currently ranked 35th in the world. She is certainly a rider to watch. Undoubtedly, the team will feel the absence of Annemiek van Vleuten, who retired at the end of the 2023 season, leaving behind a legacy as arguably one of the most successful women’s cyclists in history.
Israel – Premier Tech
Like Arkéa – B&B Hotels, Israel – Premier Tech are sticking to Ekoi kit in 2024. No major changes to the colours but a slight difference in the design of the jersey.
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team
Saying goodbye to one of their title sponsors, Citroën, Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team have brought in Decathlon, and along with it, a bright blue to contrast the white on the bottom half of their jersey.
Among the notable changes are the introduction of the new Van Rysel RCR race bikes, bearing a striking resemblance to the S-Works SL7. Furthermore, the team has exchanged their HJC helmets for the new range from Van Rysel.
Team Dsm-Firmenich PostNL
With a new sponsor, PostNL, the team have introduced a blue, white and orange coloured theme. The kit sponsor Nalini, remains the same for 2024. Make sure to look out for arguably one of their most exciting new signings, Fabio Jakobsen.
Cofidis
A very similar design to 2023, both the men’s World Tour team and the women’s Continental Team have the same jersey. Standing out from the rest of the team is Victoire Berteau, the women’s road French national champion.
Lild-Trek
No changes for Lidl-Trek in 2024. The team altered their design and secured a new title sponsor before the of the 2023 Tour de France. In 2024, there are 10 additional riders, with excitement surrounding Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jonathan Milan. The women’s team sees the introduction of six new riders this year, notably including the French sprinter Clara Copponi and the young British talent Izzy Sharp, making the transition from junior straight to the WorldTour.
Soudal – Quick Step and AG Insurance – Soudal Team
With no major changes in sponsorship, Soudal – Quick Step have gone with a very similar design as 2023, no doubt it will be a jersey often seen winning races. But it will be missing on the back Remco Evenepoel, the 23-year-old will be wearing the Belgum road national champion’s jersey!
These changes directly relate to the women’s team. Newly promoted to World Tour level, the women’s team have not seen any major transfers. Ashleigh Moolman, the rider from South Africa, will continue as their GC leader after finishing sixth at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2023.
Astana Qazaqstan Team
Just a burning effect at the bottom of the new Astana Qazaqstan Team jersey. Modelled by Mark Cavendish, let’s see if he can break the record of most Tour de France stage wins with an astonishing numberer of 35, beating both his and Eddy Merckx current record of 34.
BORA – hansgrohe
In a recent press release Bora – hansgrohe stated that they will “stand out in the peloton with Sportful in the coming season.” This is definitely true with the clash of luminous yellow on their traditional dark green jersey. Being seen is very important while cycling, especially in the winter. For more winter tips, check out our guide.
Intermarché – Wanty
Staying true to their colour theme in 2024, Intermarché – Wanty has opted for an intriguing design, making it one of our favourites. Most notably worn by Biniam Girmay, this jersey will be often seen at the front of sprint finishes and one day races!
